SYC Wong

I’m Steven Y Cin Wong a.k.a. SYC Wong, a Malaysian Illustration/Concept Artist based in Auckland, New Zealand. My personal work is inspired by mythology and folklore. Through Illustration and Concept Art I am focused on creating interesting character designs by developing their stories and the people around them. I have a great passion for storytelling and for my personal project, I created a character illustration series based on the 12 star signs inspired by their origin myth. Presently, I started my new project “ Underhound”, a team undertaking different kinds of high-risk missions to keep the Underworld and Earth in order. 

Professionally, I am a Concept and 2D Artist with three years in the game industry at Project Limbus, creating different concept designs for their upcoming title “Arid”, a single-player, third-person, no-combative adventure game about the nature of the restoration. Currently freelance and available for work.
