Waikato Dezines

Waikato Dezines is a group of students from the Bachelor of Design at the University of Waikato taking the opportunity to share the zine work done for a second-year assignment. The zines were produced as part of a brief that involved the selection of an overarching theme through 4 given variables: the four seasons, four cardinal directions, four states of matter, among others. The result was a myriad of zines where the different students’ styles, personalities and interests are represented through narrative, art, illustration, typography, and photography. In this collection of 20 zines topics range from music, art, illustration, fiction to cultural values, climate change, life stages, and health concerns.
