HB Pencil is a collaboration with two queer friends. It initially started as a passion project with zines and grew to create multi-media products. We make a variety of goods, such as prints, earrings, bags, keychains, temporary tattoos, and more.

Our zines outline our experiences with our queer-ness and gender expression from a traditional poc household, Brandon has an ongoing series called 'Homo' that outlines his experiences in dating as a gay man and his home life. It is a personal piece with humorous anecdotes. Hara has a series called Buds which is a comic zine about three queer friends and the silly mundane things that they deal with in their everyday life. Brainworms is a nonsense zine that is full of doodles and what is currently occupying Hara’s headspace.

This year we also have a collaborative zine this year called toilet humour which is a collage zine compiling our favourite memes and moments. We have a good intersection between deep introspection and silly doodling of expression.
