Blessilda is a contemporary artist based in Tāmaki Makaurau and specialises in painting, printmaking and illustration. She often uses found photos to depict emotional memories and pain. Her zines are about showcasing Filipino recipes and the exploration of their origin. Sharing these recipes creates a bridge that can relate to something familiar, and she hopes it builds a safe space to connect and a sense of empowerment.
