Khusbu Patel

“My name is Khusbu, I come from Kirikiriroa Hamilton but did a lot of my growing up in Manurewa and Whaingaroa Raglan. I learned very early on that sports and the outdoors was not my thing and found solace in my art.

A lot of what I create is purely for the love of making something that is pleasing to the eye. A lot of my inspiration comes from all over. Sometimes it’s from cartoons, games, anime and other times from tattoos or nature. I’ve also always loved picking up new styles, mediums and skills. My zines are a reflection of all the things I love. They are mostly pictorial zines, showing off a mix of my digital and traditional style of work. I’ve really just started to make zines so they’re still pretty small and simple for now but I have some ideas I’d love to share, hopefully in Auckland this year!”
