HB Pencil

HB Pencil, is a temporary art practice between Hara Shin & Brandon Lin with the purpose of processing our experiences & thoughts through creative mediums, namely zines.

Hara is a queer Korean artist that doodles and draws lighthearted nonsensical illustrations: “Brainworms Vol 1.” is a doodle compilation zine “Buds Vol 1.” is a slice of life comic zine about three queer friends “Korean Major Arcana” is an illustration zine of my rendition of Korean folklore as tarot cards and their meaning. @hahararaa

Brandon is a gay Thai & Taiwanese artist, who has been creating and publishing an on-going zine series known as “Homo” since 2016. The zine series, now up to its 9th issue, focuses on the intersections of personal relationships, mental health, Asian culture, queer culture, and identity. He will be presenting 3 new issues of “Homo” with each issue focusing on one of the following topics: ghosting in dating, HPV & sexual health, and racial identity. @thesamebrave
