“Through a shared love of surf, art and the world around us, we bring you Make Waves. We capture waves, the people that surf them and the people that make them. Our zine idea was born on a summer’s day, whilst on a long roadie around the North Island. Surfing empty spots and hooning peanut butter pretzels, we decided to share our passion for the ocean and the land that we inhabit. We aim to inspire as many people to get in the water and to connect with others that are also in the surf and environmental scene. We bring to you stories, art, ideas and philosophies of the people that are connected to the land and oceans. Let's make some waves!”
