After finishing a Graphic design degree, I've been tinkering with my Adobe subscription in my spare time to mash together photos, typography and illustrations to try to bring them to life. This has mostly been through zines, as I enjoy using the cheapest materials I can get my hands on, and throwing any ideas I have onto paper. A big influence for me is grunge designers and graffiti artists, as I feel like their style comes from their surroundings. My first zine, ‘XL’ was a collection of my own photos and drawings, and my first realisation that I could design and print anything that I really wanted. This led to my final, and favorite project at AUT being a small magazine based on Auckland street culture.
