Auckland Peace Action

Auckland Peace Action is an activist group focused on Grassroots action against war, militarism, & oppression - in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland, Aotearoa NZ, & globally. We hold an emphasis on decolonisation, anticapitalism, and believe that without justice there is no peace. We are in solidarity with a lot of social justice issues such as: indigenous land rights; solidairty with our Muslim brothers and sisters; Palestine; Western Sahara; West Papua; the people of Myanmar; the Uyghur people; anti-fascism; and the current Space For Peace Aotearoa campagn to demilitarise Space - regarding Rocket Lab's launches for the US military from Māori land in Māhia. We have worked to hold the NZ military accountable, worked to change the tide on NZ's imperialism in the Pacific with the #CancelRIMPAC campaign last year, and had a long and successful campaign to stop weapons dealers conferences from happening in Aotearoa/ NZ. We love fun protests where participants feel included and empowered, we believe in solidarity and community, and we are willing to speak out and take action against oppression and militarism.
