Aria Bee

Hi I am Aria Bee, I am 17 and am still, reluctantly, in highschool. I have always enjoyed making art and being creative my entire life, and so after discovering the Riot Grrrl community on Instagram I decided that I absolutely needed to make a zine. I have two issues so far of my zine SICK GRRRL which is very heavily inspired by the Riot Grrrl movement. In these zines I use art and writing to portray my feelings of being a woman in this patriarchal world. I love making collages, which is very evident in my zines, because I can turn random images found in random magazines into artwork that depict the exact message I want. I am extremely inspired constantly by all the amazing zines I have had the pleasure of reading and also by all the amazing people I have met by being a part of the zine community on instagram. I have only ever been to one other zine fest in my life, everything and everyone there inspired me so much to continue creating more and more zines as well.
